Well, today is Thursday, 11 June and I open my studio to the great British public on the 18th. I've started hanging my pictures and hope to get that finished by Monday evening.
My display system consists of some 6ft trellis fixed to sturdy uprights. So that the stands don't fall over, I'll be tying them to the garage walls. I've had to fix some L brackets to the stands so that they stand clear of the gas and electric meters and garden tools and that seems to be working well. I will also be using a couple of easels and a table to complete the display.
One puzzle was how to display three small 6x4in pictures. I have found nice frames for them but hanging them was a head-scratching process. In the end, I tied three small picture hooks (designed to be nailed to a wall) together with suitable gaps and then tied the ensemble to the display frame. Looks pretty good, I must say.
If you are able to come along between 18th and 21st June, I'd be delighted to see you.
