On Good Friday I went to see the David Hockney show again but this time with my wife. She's not too keen on crowds and will only countenance a few exhibitions, so this was a bit of a challenge. However, we'd watched Andrew Marr's interview on TV and this had prepared her for what she might see.
On arrival, just before noon, the queue for tickets was enormous but we were ok, as I'd already bought our tickets. The unfortunate positioning of the shop right in the middle of the entrance to the show gave a poor first impression but, thankfully, the rooms weren't as busy as on my first visit.
My wife really loved the pictures. The colour and imagery that DH has produced meant that we left with big smiles on our faces, plus a catalogue and print.
Check here to see what David's working on and follow his trials and tribulations.
